Derna city in Libya witnessed major floods as a result of Hurricane Daniel, which struck the region. Torrents, floods, and the collapse of a dam caused death of thousands of victims and missing persons and widespread destruction of buildings and infrastructure in the city.

Now the Derna city in Libya has become a disaster area that needs urgent humanitarian intervention to help the affected and displaced people.

Al-Khair Foundation has started preparations for an emergency response to help those affected there, and is working with local partners to provide the best life-saving response in the areas of “shelter, food, and water.”
